Mustang Sky Caves also known as the Cave Temples of Mustang are more than 10,000 caves situated in the Mustang district of Nepal, near the Tibetan border in the village of Lo Manthang.

These caves that is believed to have been carved into the cliffs around 3,000 years ago, hold an air of mystery. Although the identity of their creators remains uncertain, researchers have concluded, that the caves were used as a burial place before 1000 BC and for residential purposes in 10 th century respectively.

Local legends suggest that the caves were created by mystical beings or deities. Some even claims that the legendary Guru Rinpoche, a key figure in Tibetan Buddhism meditated in these caves.
