Life in Ziro

The Apatani people build their homes in neat rows using bamboo and wood. Their villages are surrounded by pine trees that they have planted and cared for over many years. Each house is built in a special way that has been passed down from parents to children.

Smart Farming

The Apatani people are clever farmers. They grow rice in water-filled fields and raise fish in the same fields! This way of farming is good for the environment and helps them grow more food using less land. Many people come from around the world to learn about this farming method.
