Ross Dock Picnic Area When Planning your Next Picnic
Ross Dock Picnic Area in Fort Lee, New Jersey, just north of the George Washington Bridge, there is a large and beautiful riverside picnic spot called the Ross Dock spot. Carpenter’s Grove and Hazard’s Ramp marina are also located here.
Ross Dock, located at the south end of Henry Hudson Drive, offers picnic tables, a carry-on grill, restrooms, water and trash cans, as well as access to our trail network as well as for fishing and catching crabs.
Just north of the George Washington Bridge, our largest picnic area juts out onto the river and offers great views as well as a large playground and plenty of open space. However, it is also our busiest park, so try to get there early if possible.
From Henry Hudson Drive, one can reach the Ross Dock picnic area. The land is accessible year-round. In winter, the bathroom may be closed. From April to October, the Ross Dock Area has metered parking.
