Review: We Drove up from Kolkata to Batabari, Gorumara Forest(677 kms). The distance from Batabari to Samsing Rocky island is about 24 kms.The roads are Very good lined with tea gardens.The scenic beauty was amazing .A very small strech of the road was a bit bad but over-all it was a fantastic drive. There is a new homestay(The Orchid Homestay) about 500 mts from the bridge and the river which serves very good food. The river itself is very clean with sparkling cold water running through huge boulders. Nice place to spend a day with family and friends. The access to the river is a bit steep so please be careful. GMB Review: Visited Gorumara National park for the first time. Had Jungle Safari by Gypsy, which costs 1935 for six persons including guide. The experience was good but we had bad luck. Murti Tourist Spot Chapramari is a forest in the Dooars region of North Bengal. The forest is a continuation of Gorumara Forest. The Murti River originates in the low mountains of Bhutan. The Murti River draws water from rainfall in the mountains.
