Review: We Drove up from Kolkata to Batabari, Gorumara Forest(677 kms). The distance from Batabari to Samsing Rocky island is about 24 kms.The roads are Very good lined with tea gardens.The scenic beauty was amazing .A very small strech of the road was a bit bad but over-all it was a fantastic drive. There is a new homestay(The Orchid Homestay) about 500 mts from the bridge and the river which serves very good food. The river itself is very clean with sparkling cold water running through huge boulders. Nice place to spend a day with family and friends. The access to the river is a bit steep so please be careful. Murti Tourist Spot Chapramari is a forest in the Dooars region of North Bengal. The forest is a continuation of Gorumara Forest.
