By Road – Taki West Bengal
If you are starting your journey from South Kolkata or Central Kolkata, you can take the Kolkata Road to Malancha Road from Science City and then the Malancha Highway to Basirhat.
Another route to Taki West Bengal is through Barasat Chapadali. You need to turn to Taki Road from Barasat and to Taki passing through Berachampa and Basirhat on the way. We took this route at the start of our trip from Dumdum, Kolkata.

By Train – Taki West Bengal
The best route to Taki by train is to take Hasnabad Local from Sealdah Station and get off at Taki Road Station. From there, you can hire Toto to get to your hotel.

By Bus – Taki West Bengal
There are many buses that will take you from Kolkata to Taki. You can catch any bus to Hasnabad from Esplanade or Shyambazar via Barasat. Time takes about 3-4 hours by bus. if you want to take public transport, taking the train will be much better and faster.
Our trip to Taki West Bengal started on a Saturday morning around 10:00 am from Kolkata and we got there around 1:30 pm. About 3 hours from us by car if you take into account the traffic and a short break.

The Ichamati River is the main attraction in Taki West Bengal. Boating on the Ichamati River is an experience not to be missed. The border between India and Bangladesh passes between this river at Taki.
So, on all the boats floating on the Ichamati River, you will see the Indian flags raised. On the other side of the river, you can also see boats flying the Bangladesh flag.
The cost of boating here is around Rs 40/person, if you take the boat with 20 other people. You can also rent your own boat if you are traveling in a small group or just in case you want to go alone or in a couple. Up to you.
